General Features

500mb Disk Space

This is the amount of disk space you have available on your server for uploading your site, and storing all files such as Access Databases, HTML Files, images etc. It is measured in megabytes (one megabyte is 1024 kilobytes). Additional disk space can be purchased. See the list of add-on features for pricing.

5Gb Bandwidth each month

Bandwidth is used each time someone visits your site, so if they see a page that is 3kb of html data with a 10kb picture on, they have used 13kb of bandwidth up. If you get 10 people viewing that page, that's 130kb bandwidth. We only measure the bandwidth to and from your website, we don't take into account ftp or mail bandwidth - so you can use those services as much as you like, without worrying about how much you are using! The figure given is for each month, so you get 12 times that amount in a year! Extra bandwidth can be purchased in 1GB blocks.

1 Domains hosted on the account

Each domain has a separate FTP account, and can be setup separately - so you can host more than one website on the same account! If you want to host domains for other people, and give them their own control panels etc you must use a reseller plan

25 Domain Aliases

An alias is a domain name that points to the same web space as another "real" domain on our servers, this means that you can have exactly the same content come up for www.myfirstdomain.com.au as http://www.myseconddomain.com.au/

25 Sub Domains

You can create sub domains of any domains you host with us, these are in the form subdomain.yourdomain.com.au and a directory is created for them in the main domains webspace

Hosted Operating System

Daily Data Backups

All of your data (excluding log files) is backed up every night to an off-server location, and we keep backups for 4 weeks so that if anything goes wrong we can restore all your data. We can also retrieve specific files if you accidentally delete them for a fee of $14.95 each time.

Scripting Technologies

ASP Enabled

ASP "Classic" is a scripting language from Microsoft to allow you to add dynamic content to your websites. You can write your own scripts to do almost anything, or use many of the prewritten scripts that you can find on the internet. We have the IIS6 as our web server, which fully supports the latest version of ASP

ASP.Net Enabled

Microsoft's newest scripting technology is the sucessor to ASP. More than just a new language, its a whole new way of programming for the web! We support the .Net Framework version 1.1 on our servers.

PHP Enabled

PHP is another scripting language which allows the addition of dynamic elements to your websites. It is normally (but not always) used in conjunction with MySQL, and many pre made scripts can be found on the internet if you do not wish to write your own

Perl/CGI Enabled

Perl is another popular scripting language which allows you to add dynamic content to your site. Pre made scripts can be downloaded from the internet and used, however please note that as this is a Windows server some scripts may have compatibility problems. We would recommend ASP or ASP.Net if you are making scripts to run on our servers

Databases

Use Access Databases

We support the use of Access databases to power your scripts (normally used for ASP scripts, but other scripting languages can make use of them as well). We support the use of DSN-Less connections to connect to as many access databases as you like (and you can fit into your disk space allocation) or DSN connections (how many DSN connections you get depends on your plan)

100 ODBC DSN's

A ODBC DSN allows you to connect to a database using a single name in your scripts, it can be used for any database type that we support

DNS Editor

Allows you to configure DNS entries for your domain manually (this is for advanced users, and you don't need to use it if you want to!). Allows modification and addition of A records, CNAME records and MX records

10 FTP Accounts

An FTP account allows you to upload your website or other files to our servers easily. You can use any FTP client you like on your computer to do so. You can find FTP clients at many software download sites, or can even use ones built into some browsers such as Internet Explorer.

Mail

Webmail

Our Webmail allows you to check any of your POP accounts, send e-mails etc. It includes an address book for storing all your contacts e-mail addresses.

Catch All Address

Any e-mail that is sent to a non-existent address on your domain can be forwarded to a location of your choice, so you'll never miss an email because of a mistyped name!

25 POP Mail Accounts

Each POP account is an email address that can store e-mails. You can check it using a mail client such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora etc or using our webmail (see above)

500 Mail Aliases / Forwards

An alias (also known as a forward) is an address that simply sends all email it receives to another location. This could be another address on the same domain, or a different domain.

1000 Multi-Recipient Aliases

Works in the same way as a normal alias, but you can forward the email to more than one address (up to 100)

Additional Features

Use your own Custom Error Pages

You can have your own custom error pages that are displayed instead of the default for the following errors: 400: Bad Request 401: Unauthorized 403: Forbidden 404: Not Found 500: Internal Server Error

Require a login to view selected pages

Secure folders allows you to protect certain areas of your site so that only people you allow access to can view it. You can set up as many users as you like and assign them to groups. Each folder you protect can have a different set of users who are allowed access.

1 Shared SSL Installations

Included with this plan is space on our Shared SSL server. A new directory is created in your web space to hold the secure files, and these are then viewed via a secure SSL connection (i.e. https://). We can also provide SSL on your own domain (i.e. https://www.yourdomain.com.au or https://secure.yourdomain.com.au), either with a certificate you provide or one you purchase from us. There is an additional fee for SSL on your own domain however, please Contact Sales for further details

Microsoft FrontPage Extensions Enabled

You can optionally install FrontPage Extensions on your website so that you can easily upload directly from FrontPage and use the extra features it provides. The version installed is FrontPage Extensions 2002

 

WAP/Mobile Support

Our servers are setup so you can host WAP pages for viewing through a mobile phone, or other wireless device. Simply upload the files and point a WAP browser at them!
